The NSIF provides a common basis for storage and interchange of images and associated data among existing and future systems. This document defines the NSIF, the Standard NSIF File Format for imagery and imageryrelated products to be used by NATO. As the need for imagery-related systems grows, their diversity is anticipated to increase.
